What is it?
A soil moisture meter measures how wet or dry the soil is. This simple tool helps determine when a plant actually needs watering instead of relying on guesswork.

We use it before watering plants growing in regular soil, especially when we are unsure how quickly the substrate has dried.
There are no batteries or complicated settings — simply insert it into the soil, check whether it shows dry, moist, or wet, remove it, and decide whether watering is needed.
It is a surprisingly simple tool, but it works incredibly well. Thanks to it, overwatering is rarely a problem for us.
